Note: Attendees will be able to use the WNFM room rate for up to three days pre- and post-conference to allow for flexibility with longer travel times for attendees coming to / from Scottsdale. The WNFM room block at the Omni will close on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. MT.

Check-in / Check-out Times: Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 12:00 p.m. To guarantee early arrival prior to 4:00 p.m. the hotel will require you to book the night prior.
Hotel Parking: There is self-parking and valet parking available at the hotel. The self-parking rate is $30 USD per vehicle, per night, and the current overnight valet rate is $35 USD.
Transportation from Airport: Conference attendees will fly into Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport (PHX) and can arrange taxis, limo services, rideshares, or train, to travel to the hotel. It takes approximately 15-25 minutes to drive to the hotel from the international airport, depending on traffic. During peak hours, it takes a minimum of 40 minutes to reach the hotel.
- Rideshares: Uber or Lyft (pick up area: Terminal 3: Level 1, North or South outer curb; Terminal 4: Level 1, outer curb near doors #1, #2, #6, or #8 (clearly marked).)
- Taxis: Taxis are available 24/7 and are located curbside on Level 1 (Baggage Claim level) at each active terminal.

City Tour of Phoenix & Scottsdale

Tour of Palo Verde Generating Station
Wednesday, May 3, 2026 from 9:30 – 5:30 p.m.$75 USD per person (transportation & lunch provided). Prior registration is required and limited to a maximum of 40 attendees.
In coordination with Arizona Public Service, WNFM is pleased to offer a tour of the Palo Verde Generating Station as part of the 2026 WNFM Conference events. Palo Verde is the largest nuclear power plant in the United States and uniquely operates in the Arizona desert using reclaimed wastewater for cooling, providing reliable, carbon‑free power to the Southwest.
The tour will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a presentation and lunch at the Palo Verde Energy Education Center (EEC), followed by a four‑hour guided tour. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the Palo Verde Switchyard, ISFSI (Spent Fuel Storage Installation), Water Resources and Cooling Towers, and the FLEX Mitigation Strategy Facility. Transportation will be provided, with travel time from Scottsdale to the Palo Verde EEC taking just over one hour.
Rules, Safety & Documentation
- No phones permitted on site.
- Required safety and release forms must be completed prior to the tour (WNFM will coordinate with registered attendees).
- Valid, government issued photo ID required (non expired; digital IDs not accepted). Accepted forms include State issued driver’s license or ID,U.S. passport or passport card, Photo ID issued by a Federally recognized Tribal Nation/Indian Tribe, Veteran Health ID Card (VHIC). Non U.S. citizens must be cleared in advance by submitting passport information to WNFM.
- Dress Code: Sturdy sneakers or hiking boots; closed toe with flat heels. No sandals or exposed foot shoes. Shirts must have sleeves (no sleeveless). Long pants only; no shorts, capris, skirts, or ankle exposing attire.
